Silicon – extracted for you from bamboo, millet & horsetail

Most people think of evergreen forests in East Asia when they hear the word bamboo – or of crunchy shoots that give Asian dishes the necessary bite.

But bamboo shoots are not just tasty: Did you know that they naturally contain silicon?

For our rubyni SILICIUM we obtain the trace element from three different, purely plant-based sources: In addition to bamboo, we use millet and horsetail as natural raw materials.

Silicon: a natural component in your body

Silicon – also known as silicon – is a common element on earth. It is also present in small quantities in the human body and can be found in various body tissues, including skin, hair and connective tissue.1,2

Silicon enters your body through your diet. Plants absorb it from the soil, where it is mainly found as silicon dioxide or silicic acid. These compounds are in a form that can be absorbed by the human body.2,3

The trace element is contained in various foods. These include cereals such as oats and millet, potatoes and certain mineral waters.3,4

All about our capsules

One rubyni Silicium capsule contains 146 milligrams of bamboo extract, 61 milligrams of millet concentrate and 50 milligrams of horsetail extract – each in powder form. Together, this results in 61 mg of silicon per capsule.

Note: Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced and varied diet or to replace a healthy lifestyle.

rubyni Silicium at a glance

rubyni Silicium is a dietary supplement made from three plant-based raw materials that naturally contain silicon. It is therefore 100 % vegan.

We obtain the bamboo shoot extract (from Bambusa vulgaris) from bamboo shoots from East Asia. Bamboo is a fast-growing grass species, the shoots are its young shoots. They are surrounded by a protective leaf layer that is rich in silicon compounds. 5,6

We use millet (from the husks of Panicum miliaceum) in the form of a concentrate. It comes from Germany, Austria and Hungary.

The third component in our rubyni SILICIUM-capsules is horsetail extract (from Equisetum arvense). Horsetail is one of the oldest plants on earth. 7

Our capsules contain silicon in combination with plant-based ingredients. All raw materials are carefully processed to ensure the consistent quality of our product.

What makes rubyni SILICIUM so special?

In our capsules, the silicon is bound to plant components. We obtain the trace element from three high-quality plant sources that naturally contain silicon: The capsules contain extracts from bamboo shoots and horsetail herb as well as the concentrate from panicle millet. All raw materials are gently processed into powder.

How much rubyni SILICIUM should I take daily?

We recommend taking one capsule of rubyni SILICIUM per day, unchewed and with sufficient water. The silicon comes from 146 milligrams of bamboo extract, 61 milligrams of millet concentrate and 50 milligrams of horsetail extract. The recommended daily intake should not be exceeded.

Biathlete

As a biathlete, I have to be fit and able to perform at the drop of a hat. I had big problems with that in the past. My body was repeatedly weakened and I had to put up with many setbacks. When I was looking for a solution to support my immune system in the long term, my naturopath introduced me to elderberries as a superfood, among other things. I now take rubyni® with elderberries every day. The capsules are also super handy when I'm on the World Cup circuit. Rubyni® is a valuable aid for me during stressful competition phases and my immune system is finally back on top form.

Expert in nutritional medicine

For more than 25 years, my focus has been on holistic, naturopathic medicine, with a particular interest in nutritional medicine and biological topics. During this time, I have studied current research findings (e.g. on orthomolecular medicine, epigenetics, nutrigenomics, phytotherapy) in depth. From the outset, I found rubyni's philosophy of using whole fruit extracts with the complete effect profile of the entire fruit matrix exciting and convincing. That is why I was happy to take on the task of developing new products that would contain rubyni but also, in the spirit of synergistic effects, other ingredients for a specific purpose.
