When they hear the word “bamboo,” most people think of evergreen forests in East Asia—or of crisp shoots that add that extra bite to Asian dishes.
But bamboo shoots aren’t just a treat for the taste buds: Did you know that they naturally contain silicon?
For our rubyni silicon, we extract this trace element from three different, purely plant-based sources: In addition to bamboo, we use foxtail millet and horsetail as natural raw materials.
- 100% silicon from plant sources—from bamboo shoots, foxtail millet, and horsetail
- One capsule provides 61 mg of silicon
- 100% vegan, lactose-free, and gluten-free
- No added fillers or preservatives
Silicon: A Natural Component of Your Body
Silicon is a common element. It is also present in small amounts in the human body and can be detected in various body tissues, including, among others, the skin, hair, and connective tissue.1,2
Silicon enters your body through your diet. Plants absorb it from the soil; in plants, this trace element occurs both as silicon dioxide and as silicic acid. These compounds are present in a form that can be absorbed by the human body.2,3
Silicon is found in various foods. These include, for example, grains such as oats and millet, potatoes, and certain types of mineral water.3,4

rubyni® Silicon at a Glance
rubyni Silicium is a dietary supplement made from three plant-based ingredients that naturally contain silicon. It is therefore 100% vegan.
We obtain bamboo shoot extract (from Bambusa vulgaris) from bamboo shoots grown in East Asia. Bamboo is a fast-growing type of grass; the shoots are its young shoots. They are surrounded by a protective layer of leaves that is rich in silicon compounds. 5,6
We use foxtail millet (from the husks of Panicum miliaceum) in the form of a concentrate. It comes from Germany, Austria, and Hungary.
The third ingredient in our rubyni silicon capsules is horsetail extract (from Equisetum arvense). Horsetail is one of the oldest plants on Earth. 7
In our capsules, silicon is present in combination with the plant-based ingredients. All raw materials are gently processed to ensure the consistent quality of our product.
What makes rubyni silicon so special?
In our capsules, the silicon is bound to plant-based ingredients. We source this trace element from three high-quality plant sources that naturally contain silicon: The capsules contain extracts from bamboo shoots and horsetail, as well as a concentrate from foxtail millet. All raw materials are gently processed into powder.
How much Rubyni Silicon should I take each day?
We recommend taking one rubyni Silicium capsule per day, without chewing, with plenty of water. The silicon in this product comes from 146 milligrams of bamboo extract, 61 milligrams of foxtail millet concentrate, and 50 milligrams of horsetail extract. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake.
Is Rubyni Silicium vegan, gluten-free, and lactose-free?
Yes, all sources of rubyni silicon are plant-based: We use bamboo shoots, horsetail, and foxtail millet as raw materials for our capsules. The ingredients are carefully processed to ensure consistent quality. The powder is enclosed in a plant-based capsule shell. The product is vegan, gluten-free, and lactose-free.

I work as a nutrition and health consultant and am a trained phytotherapist. Transparency, sustainability and quality are very important to me. And I have to say that rubyni® has completely won me over as a brand. The capsules contain only extremely high-quality and natural ingredients whose effectiveness has been proven by studies and which provide the body with important nutrients. I have published several videos about my personal rubyni® journey on my YouTube channel Ohlala & Solala. There I tell you even more about what makes this dietary supplement so special from my point of view.
Hanna Kebinger
Biathlete
As a biathlete, I have to be fit and able to perform at the drop of a hat. I had big problems with that in the past. My body was repeatedly weakened and I had to put up with many setbacks. When I was looking for a solution to support my immune system in the long term, my naturopath introduced me to elderberries as a superfood, among other things. I now take rubyni® with elderberries every day. The capsules are also super handy when I'm on the World Cup circuit. Rubyni® is a valuable aid for me during stressful competition phases and my immune system is finally back on top form.
