The omega-3 index describes the proportion of the omega-3 fatty acids EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) in red blood cells. It is considered an established laboratory parameter for assessing long-term omega-3 intake.

How the Test Works
1. Order a test: After you place your order, you’ll receive the test kit conveniently by mail at your home.
2. Collect a blood sample: Simply follow the step-by-step instructions provided to collect the sample. Apply the blood sample to the test card provided.
3. Send in the sample. Then return the sample to the partner laboratory using the shipping materials provided.
4. Laboratory Analysis and Findings
The test is performed by our partner laboratory, GANZIMMUN Diagnostics. Once the analysis is complete, you will receive a detailed laboratory report containing the measured values.
Results are typically available within 10 to 14 business days after the sample is received by the laboratory.
