How much magnesium does your body need?

The German Nutrition Society (DGE) recommends a daily intake of 300 mg of magnesium for women and 350 mg for men.2 The European Union (EU) recommends a slightly higher daily dose of 375 mg for both genders. This is known as the Nutrient Reference Value, or NRV for short. It serves as a guideline in the manufacture of dietary supplements when it comes to the dosage of vitamins and minerals.3,4

      rubyni® Magnesium at a Glance

rubyni Magnesium is a dietary supplement that contains natural magnesium in the form of organic green algae extract. The algae (Ulva lactuca) come from selected coastal regions of Europe, where they grow in natural marine habitats.

Harvesting takes place in protected coastal areas, and we place great emphasis on preserving local ecosystems and using resources in an environmentally sustainable manner.

In France, the raw material is gently processed into an extract. The magnesium content of the extract is standardized to ensure that you always receive consistent quality.

      Good to know:

Magnesium – a mineral essential for numerous bodily functions

Magnesium is one of the most abundant minerals in the human body and plays a role in various metabolic processes. For example, magnesium helps maintain electrolyte balance.1,5 The term “electrolytes” refers to various minerals that are dissolved in the blood, among other places. Various processes in your body depend on the electrolytes being in balance.6

Magnesium also helps reduce tiredness and fatigue.1 However, you probably associate this nutrient more with your muscles. And rightly so: Your muscles work by contracting and relaxing. Magnesium plays a role in regulating these movements and supports normal muscle function.1,7,8,9

When I was looking for a solution to support my immune system in the long term, my naturopath introduced me to elderberries as a superfood, among other things. I now take rubyni® with elderberries every day. The capsules are also super handy when I'm on the World Cup circuit. Expert in nutritional medicine

For more than 25 years, my focus has been on holistic, naturopathic medicine, with a particular interest in nutritional medicine and biological topics. During this time, I have studied current research findings (e.g. on orthomolecular medicine, epigenetics, nutrigenomics, phytotherapy) in depth. From the outset, I found rubyni's philosophy of using whole fruit extracts with the complete effect profile of the entire fruit matrix exciting and convincing. That is why I was happy to take on the task of developing new products that would contain rubyni but also, in the spirit of synergistic effects, other ingredients for a specific purpose.
