Why dietary supplements?
Does it make sense to take dietary supplements even if you have a healthy diet?
Unfortunately, a healthy diet is often no longer sufficient in the context of today’s Western diet. Around 25% of Germans do not consume enough fruit and vegetables to meet the daily requirement of 650 g. Modern agricultural practices have resulted in fruit and vegetables containing fewer nutrients; even fresh produce today shows nutritional deficiencies.
Furthermore, many people suffer from a lack of essential nutrients due to environmental stressors, persistent work- and family-related stress, and sleep deprivation. Over time, this loss of nutrients can lead to a deficiency. Consequently, there is often a need for specific nutrients that cannot be adequately obtained without dietary supplements.
How do you recognize high-quality dietary supplements?
It’s all about the dosage.
We use only active ingredients that have been scientifically studied in human clinical trials at specific dosages and for specific applications. You can find the scientifically validated dosage in the formulations of all our products.
Juice versus extract?
Juices made from red berries and fruits are popular choices. But do they deliver on their promises? In liquid products, phytochemicals—including anthocyanins—degrade relatively quickly, whereas in extract form, they remain stable for years.
The variety matters.
For every berry or fruit we use, we prioritize a high anthocyanin content. This ensures that the unique fruit matrix—and the resulting efficacy of our fruit products—is preserved.
No half measures.
Studies have shown that our berry and fruit extracts are fully effective only when the specific fruit matrix—containing all polysaccharides, polyphenols, and anthocyanins—remains intact. We achieve this through our unique IPT process, which relies on a purely mechanical method—without the use of organic solvents.

What is rubyni® elderberry?
rubyni® is a pure, high-quality food supplement made from the extract of the berries of the black elderberry of the Haschberg variety. rubyni® is organic, vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free.
Why does rubyni® consist purely of elderberry, without any other (fillers) additives?
The pigment of the elderberry holds the pure power of nature—valuable anthocyanins. That is why we place great importance on ensuring that our premium elderberry extract, derived from the ‘Haschberg’ variety, remains pure and unadulterated. Additional additives offer no benefit here.
How is rubyni® elderberry produced?
rubyni® is extracted from the berries of the black elderberry of the Haschberg variety and processed into a highly concentrated, purely organic powder by our purely mechanical drying process. We treat the raw material elderberry particularly carefully and thus preserve its full power.
Is rubyni® elderberry suitable for diabetics?
rubyni® has no added sugar and is therefore suitable for diabetics. However, a small, natural residual amount of sugar may be present.
Why is rubyni® elderberry not available in liquid form?
Elderberry loses its active ingredients in liquid form after a short storage time. Therefore, we offer the Haschberg variety exclusively as a powder extract in dietary supplements.
On Rubyni Elderberry
Why is the elderberry of the Haschberg variety so special?
The berries of the black elderberry variety Haschberg are late ripening, very dark, almost black and therefore full of power and valuable anthocyanins. These berries are the basis for rubyni®.
Is one elderberry the same as another?
No, there are many different varieties of elderberry, such as common shrub elder or wild elder. However, they do not produce berries as dark as those of the Black Elder—specifically the ‘Haschberg’ variety. This variety forms the basis for Rubyni premium elderberry products; thanks to its extremely dark color, it is packed with healthy active compounds and full of vitality.
Where is the 'Haschberg' variety of black elderberry grown for Rubyni elderberry products?
The cultivation areas for the black elderberry we use for rubyni Edelholunder are located in southeastern Austria—in the federal states of Styria and Burgenland.
How does rubyni elderberry work?
rubyni Premium Elderberry provides the body with valuable secondary plant compounds. In this way, regular daily consumption supports the normal function of the immune system.
What is meant by the term "Edelholunder"?
The ‘Haschberg’ variety of black elderberry, which we use exclusively in our products, is particularly rich in secondary plant compounds and anthocyanins. That is why we refer to it as “premium elderberry.”
Is rubyni® really good for the immune system?
Yes, proven by studies, rubyni® supports the normal function of the immune system in a completely natural way when taken regularly on a daily basis.
Does rubyni® help against cold symptoms?
Studies show that rubyni® strengthens and supports the natural immune system. However, rubyni is not a cure or medicine and is not approved as such.
Is rubyni® an alternative immune protection?
Various scientific studies show that black elderberry naturally supports the normal immune system when consumed on a daily, regular basis.
At what intervals should I consume rubyni®?
To contribute to the normal functioning of the immune system, 1 – 2 capsules rubyni® should be consumed daily and regularly with sufficient liquid, unchewed.

What is Rubyni blackcurrant?
rubyni Blackcurrant is a dietary supplement specifically developed to harness the benefits of blackcurrants. It contains exclusively the high-quality extract CurrantCraft®, which is rich in phytochemicals.
How should rubyni blackcurrant be taken?
The recommended dosage is to take one capsule daily with sufficient liquid.
Is Rubyni blackcurrant suitable for everyone?
In general, anyone can safely take rubyni Blackcurrant. However, as a precaution, pregnant or breastfeeding women and individuals with known allergies or medical conditions should consult their doctor before use.

Where are BerryPharma products manufactured?
Our extracts come from our own production within our family. For 100 years, we have been producing and processing high-quality fruit concentrates and extracts in our family. For bottling, we work with different suppliers who meet our highest quality standards for the respective product.
Is your product free from fructose?
We do not add fructose to our products. Products containing plant extracts contain small amounts of naturally occurring fructose. Small amounts of fructose are usually tolerated without any problems. Please also ask your doctor about this.
What is the silica gel dry bag included in the jar for?
This desiccant bag contains the desiccant silica, also known as silica gel or silica gel, and is used to protect moisture-sensitive products.
Is the silica gel dry bag hazardous to health or toxic?
The silica gel dry bags we use are not hazardous to health or toxic. However, the dry bags should not be swallowed. Please keep out of the reach of children.
How to dispose of the silica gel dry bag?
Simply dispose of in household waste or reuse. There are numerous application examples on the Internet.
Does rubyni® need to be stored in the refrigerator?
No.
Is the bottle/lid recyclable?
Yes, the lid is made of plastic and can be recycled. But you can also peel off the label and simply reuse the jar with lid for various applications, e.g. in the household.
What material are the capsules used by BerryPharma made of?
Please note the respective information on the packaging. In principle, however, we use vegan capsules made from hydroxypropylmethylcellulose.
Can I open the capsules if I have problems swallowing the capsules?
If you have difficulty swallowing capsules, you can open them by pulling the two halves apart. You are welcome to drink the extract pure or dissolved in water. Please pay attention to the intense red color of the elderberry extract. Your tongue as well as your mouth and throat may turn intensely red. This will go away on its own and is not dangerous, but may be bothersome.

From what age is rubyni® suitable?
rubyni® pure in capsules is usually suitable for consumption from 4 years.
How many capsules rubyni® can I consume per day?
We recommend consumption of 1 – 2 capsules rubyni® daily and regularly.
Can pregnant women and nursing mothers consume rubyni®?
Because rubyni® is a food, you can also consume this during pregnancy / lactation. In case of doubt, however, this should be discussed again with your doctor.
What is the shelf life of rubyni® after opening?
The product has a shelf life of at least 3 months after opening if stored dry in the sealed jar with the desiccant bag included. The desiccant bag protects the product from possible moisture in the sealed jar.
What if I forget to take it?
Continue taking at the next time as normal with the recommended amount.
